Microbial Life Deep Beneath The Surface
Over at Science of the Invisible, I just reported on a microbial community isolated from the Earth’s surface for 20 million years. More than a mile and a half beneath the earth’s surface, a newly discovered bacterial species thrives far from the light of the sun that sustains virtually all life. Now tell me that’s not interesting. ;-)
