Tara Smith at Aetiology has a nice post about Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and the organism responsible, Rickettsia rickettsii an obligate intracellular pathogen.

(My unfortunate background means I can never read about this disease without hearing John Denver singing Rocky Mountain High, but that’s just me…)
