Dear Dr Alan Cann

I wonder whether you could tell me some literature which show how much endospore formation(asymmetrically division) costs more than vegetative cell division(symmetrically division).
I got interested in the part saying "endospore formation is an energy intensive process".
I am studying about functions of Bacilli in waste water treatment.
If I could have any suggestion, it'd be a big help for me.

thank you in advance.
