Over the past few years I have read many "fool-proof guides to R". It turns out they weren't idiot-proof and didn't help me much. So I wrote my own. The function of StatsBytes is only to get you started with the statistics environment R. I have deliberately kept
it as simple as possible and I don't pretend that I've scratched the surface
of what R is capable of, or explored statistical principles in any depth. If you would like more help, read How to get more
help with R. I am unable to offer consultancy on your statistical problems so please don't email me, you won't get a reply. It is possible to greatly extend the capabilities of R by installing additional extensional packages. This site deliberately does not require use of any additional packages beyond the standard installation, but if you are interested in extending the functionality of R, read this.
StatsBytes is an unsupported Open Educational Resource - before you email me about what you can do with this site, please read the licence.
